MetaTrader 4 Mobile: Charts

In the MetaTrader 4 Mobile for Pocket PC charts can be accessed via the Chart tab. In order to change the instrument, press the button.

You can create three types of charts:

  • Line Chart
  • Bar Chart
  • Candlesticks

Mobile Trading: the Chart tab

MetaTrader 4 Mobile implements most of the features of MetaTrader 4 for PCs:

  • wide range of in-built technical analysis indicators and graphic objects;
  • trend lines and channel lines;
  • vertical and horizontal lines;
  • Fibonacci retracements;
  • and many other useful tools.

Press the button to enable the context menu:

Color Scheme - changes the chart's color settings;

  • Bar chart - shows the chart as a bar chart;
  • Candlesticks - shows the chart as a candlesticks chart;
  • Line Chart - shows the chart as a line chart;
  • Zoom in/out - modifies chart scale;
  • Select Refresh chart if an error occurs or if there are so called "gaps" on the chart. All missing data will be uploaded from the server and will appear on the chart;
  • Objects - adds graphic objects;
  • Indicators - adds technical analysis indicator to the chart.

Press the button to enable the context menu and select Properties in order to adjust the chart's color and common features:

Charts Properties

  • Grid - enables / disables gridlines;
  • Autoscroll - enables / disables chart autoscroll to the left once a new quote comes;
  • Chart shift - allows you to shift the chart from the right edge of the window;
  • Chart on foreground - chart is shown above indicators;
  • OHLC - shows the levels of the current bar;
  • Ask line - enables the Ask line. Note: in MetaTrader 4 charts are built at the bid prices;
  • Period separators - divides time periods by a vertical line;
  • Trade levels - enables open positions and pending orders on the chart;
  • Volumes - enables tick volume (the number of quotes for any period time) chart.
