With daily trading volumes now reaching billions of US Dollars, we are committed to improving our clients trading experience. Consequently, to handle the demands of increasing trade volume and to advance the quality of execution, we are happy to announce the introduction of two new account types: Micro and Classic.
The introduction of Micro and Classic Accounts, managed on two dedicated servers is aimed at improving trade execution whilst providing clients with the most suitable trading environment according to their trading style. Please refer to this table to learn more about Alpari (UK)’s new Micro and Classic Account Types.
On the 21st of March 2009, our current Live Account holders will be appropriately separated into Micro or Classic servers depending on their trading style, trade frequency and trade volume.
We are fully committed to completing all the technical changes required by the end of Saturday 21st March 2009 to allow our clients to take advantage of the new server upgrades by market open at 23:00 on Sunday 22nd March 2009.
Before the market opens on Sunday, we recommend you check that your trading platform has been setup with the latest settings by launching your MetaTrader 4 and verify that you are able to login correctly.
From the 21st of March 2009, in order to connect to your new server (i.e. Micro or Classic) and access your trading account as usual, you will have to update your login settings in MetaTrader 4.
Input the new server IP addresses into MetaTrader 4 manually. Please find here below the instructions to update manually IP addresses:
If you are a "Classic" account holder and you need to connect to the ‘Classic’ server please follow these instructions:
1. Open MetaTrader 4
2. Click File>Login
3. In the Login field enter your Alpari (UK) login/account number
4. In the password field enter your password
5. In the Server field enter one of the following IP addresses
6. Check ‘Save account information’ if you would like your login details to be saved for future use
7. Click Login to gain access to your account
Please note that you must only enter the new server details once as MetaTrader will store them automatically
If you are a "Micro" account holder and you need to connect to the ‘Micro’ server please follow these instructions:
1. Open MetaTrader 4
2. Click File>Login
3. In the Login field enter your Alpari (UK) login/account number
4. In the password field enter your password
5. In the Server field enter one of the following IP addresses
6. Check ‘Save account information’ if you would like your login details to be saved for future use
7. Click Login to gain access to your account
Please note that you must only enter the new server details once as MetaTrader will store them automatically.
