Due to the current turmoil on global financial markets and the extreme lack of liquidity between banks, it is necessary for us to amend our overnight Swap rates in line with our Prime Broker and all other market participants.
Most importantly, we do cover our exposure on the interbank market and we only mirror our Prime Broker swap rates. Accordingly Alpari (UK) Ltd. does not benefit from swap rate amendments.
In many cases the spreads between long and short positions have widened significantly so we are advising all clients to double check swap charges before running overnight positions. We hope that the current market turbulence will be temporary so that we can bring overnight rates back to normal as soon as possible. Swaps rates will be amended on a daily basis and improved as soon as market conditions allow.
