Since its inception in 2004, Alpari (UK) rounded up its senior management team, a unique mix of highly experienced business and research leaders in Online Trading services and technologies.

Alpari’s management team has extensive and proven skills in driving innovative technology and products to the forefront of both retail and institutional markets.

 

Andrey Vedikhin

Co-founder of the Alpari Group
CEO, Alpari (UK)


Andrey Vedikhin has played a leading role in Alpari’s history, as Andrey originally co-founded the Alpari Group in 1998. His company vision and entrepreneurial spirit has taken Alpari from concept to a rapidly growing, highly competitive and profitable company in the online Forex industry.

As Chief Executive Officer of Alpari (UK), Andrey is responsible for new business development and strategic initiatives for the whole Alpari Group.

Andrey developed his expertise in cross-markets and Forex trading from a young age. In 1995, aged 20 and still studying, he immersed himself in the Russian financial markets. After graduating with a distinction from the Finance and Economics unit of Kazan State University, Russia in 1997, he went on to complete an additional PhD in Economics and focused solely on Forex trading. He is registered with the FSA and holds several industry qualifications. Andrey co-authored “Forex: an inside view”, with fellow Alpari Group colleague, Gleb Petrov and has authored several other technological publications.

Andrey is married with two children. In his spare time, he likes to program Expert Advisors, blog about Forex at www.vedikhin.ru and create programs using C++ and Delphi.


Sudipto Chattopadhyay

Executive Director

Sudipto Chattopadhyay joined Alpari (UK) as an Executive Director and founding partner in 2004, and is responsible for Alpari (UK)'s finance, risk, compliance and human resources strategy.

With extensive investment banking experience gained holding senior positions at major European investment banks, Sudipto has a strong reputation in the financial market.

He started his financial career as an equities trader, going on to be a senior equities salesman at major European banks, marketing sophisticated and complex equity and derivative products.

Prior to joining Alpari UK, Sudipto ran a highly successful private advisory firm, gaining extensive experience assisting firms through the authorisation process with regulators.

 

David Stuart

Chief Operating Officer

David Stuart joined Alpari (UK) in 2006, as Deputy Head of Trading. From 2007 he was promoted to Head of Trading where he was analyzing risk and worked with the management to create and monitor a suitable limit structure. David was appointed as Trading and Operations Director in 2009, where he is now solely responsible for Alpari (UK)’s day to day Trading, Back Office and Client Services operations.

Born in 1970, David began his financial career at Nomura International, providing dealing and market making services on the fixed income government bond trading desk, where he became a fully regulated member of the FSA in 1992.

He moved into futures and options broking and trading with Deutsche Bank in the early 90’s, a bank he helped to become the No.1 broker in many of the major global markets. David then managed a successful independent trading company specialised in futures, stocks and FOREX, which he started up in 2001.

Outside of the “Alpari” world, David places a strong emphasis on family values, enjoying spending time with his family. In his spare time, he also likes to play golf, go swimming and cook international cuisines.


Paul J. Kiff

Head of Trading

Paul J. Kiff joined Alpari (UK) in 2006 as Senior Trader. Paul has, until 2009, entirely been responsible for the development and operations of Alpari (UK)’s Introducing Broker Programme. Appointed Head of Trading in 2009, Paul is now responsible for intraday and overnight position monitoring and managing the requirements for new products. Paul has also successfully established and is maintaining strong relationships with key business partners, as well as managing an international team of financial professionals.

Paul began his career in the financial markets more than 25 years ago at commodity brokers E.D & F Man (now MF Global). There he started trading FOREX on their corporate desk before moving to the London International Financial Futures Exchange trading derivatives such as Government Bonds and Short Term Interest Rates.

As an active member of trading pit committees, Paul served a term as a Floor Committee Member. During his time on the L.I.F.F.E trading floor he worked for Drexel Burnham Lambert and was head of trading for Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter Reynolds.

Paul’s commitment and enthusiasm is helping to develop the company into a global financial service force.

Happily married with four children, Paul’s passions are his family, cooking, football (coaching and playing) and taking long walks with his wife.

 

George Tchetvertakov

Head of Market Research

George Tchetvertakov joined Alpari (UK) in 2008 and brought with him a natural ability to analyze market information combined with significant experience in the financial markets. His main responsibility lies in producing insightful market commentary on Foreign Exchange markets for various Alpari clients.

Shortly after graduating with honours in Economics from City University/CASS Business School, George began his career by trading FX, commodities and equities. In 2005 he was recruited by Refco from a group of 15,000 applicants for a position on their graduate programme. After successfully graduating he became a backed financial futures trader for Refco.

Since then George has concentrated on analysing market movements, evaluating market risks and working closely with clients to provide a highly professional service to help them attain an edge in the financial markets.

In his spare time George loves reading, travelling and socialising.


Anna Zenina

Head of Client Services

Anna Zenina has played an instrumental role in building up the Client Services department of Alpari (UK) since she joined the firm in 2003, when she started her career after graduating with a Master in History and Law.

As Head of Client Services, Anna supports Alpari’s business goals by ensuring constant customer satisfaction and by enhancing the quality of service offered to the customers.

In her spare time, Anna likes travelling and reading.

 

Lisa Johansen

Head of Back Office

Lisa joined Alpari (UK) in March 2009 after eight years in the financial services industry – of which six were spent working in North America and Australia with Travelex, one of the world’s largest Foreign Exchange specialists.

Now resident again in London after a long period abroad, Lisa lived previously in Ireland, Canada and Australia. Lisa has risen to the challenge posed by Alpari (UK)’s rapid expansion and brings valuable insight and professionalism to the Back Office department.

Alpari (UK) is benefitting from Lisa’s time spent managing a range of functions within Travelex, including Settlement Operations, Trade Support and Customer Solutions & Reconciliations.


Using her extensive international experience, Lisa is responsible for introducing automation and new technology across critical areas within Back Office to ensure the highest levels of efficiency, faultless Straight Through Processing and exceptional client service.

Lisa is an intrepid traveller, preferably journeying by mountain-bike and even tackling the Himalayas in Nepal. An avowed fan of foreign culture, Lisa enjoys the opportunity to swap the Back Office for the wilder parts of the world, seeking cultural ‘immersion therapy’ as far off the beaten track as possible.

 

Mark Payne

Head of Compliance

Mark Payne joined Alpari (UK) as Head of Compliance in 2008, where he is responsible for ensuring the firm is able to meet all regulatory requirements and that Alpari’s operations comply with any relevant rules.

Mark has played an instrumental role in driving the Compliance Department forward to provide industry leading standards in major regulatory issues such as Treating Customers Fairly. Mark will continue to roll out the Compliance framework across the global presence of the group and will be building relationships with international regulators to continue Alpari’s commitment to delivering the highest possible standards of consumer protection.

Mark brought to Alpari a wealth of experience within regulatory risk management.

Mark has previously worked at retail banks, stockbrokers and derivative traders. 
More recently, he has specialized in Compliance within leading on-line CFD and FX trading firms such as Saxo Bank and CMC Markets, where he was Head of Global Compliance and helped to develop a strong global presence under the scrutiny of the world’s leading regulators.

In his spare time, Mark competes in Triathlons and regularly attends horse racing meeting around the country.

 

Harriet Ellis

Head of Human Resources

Harriet joined Alpari (UK) in July 2009 as Head of Human Resources during a key period as the company continues to expand.

Harriet has worked in human resources for more than twelve years, specialising in the development of HR functions within organisations experiencing rapid growth. Harriet is therefore a key member of the Alpari (UK) team as the company expands and brings on board many more staff across all departments.

Harriet brings a wealth of experience not only from the financial services sector but also from time spent managing HR departments in manufacturing and on-line training companies.   

Previously Harriet has worked for United Biscuits, Toshiba, Thomson NETg, ING Wholesale and VTB Capital Bank.  

In her new role, Harriet will be responsible for developing and implementing best-practice HR policies that will enable the company to attract, retain, motivate and reward our staff.

Harriet holds qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and is also a Graduate of Sociology from Kingston University.

Outside of the office Harriet is a talented league netball player, a keen theatre-goer and an experienced traveller.

 

Diya Patel

Head of Finance

Diya joined Alpari (UK) towards the end of 2008 and was promoted to Head of Finance in January 2009.
She is a qualified accountant and, after graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2002, trained with an accountancy firm in London's West End, working with a wide range of clients across a variety of different industry sectors.

Soon after being admitted as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2006, she joined the audit and assurance department at Mazars, one of the largest accountancy companies in the UK, specialising in financial services, in particular the company’s larger insurance industry clients.

Since joining Alpari (UK) Diya has taken on responsibility for day-to-day oversight of the Finance Department, reporting directly to the regulators and helping coordinate Alpari (UK)’s global expansion plans.

When not in the office, Diya likes to indulge her love of literature and divides her spare time and holidays between her friends, family and travelling.

 

Ray Bramwell

Head of Technology


Ray Bramwell was appointed Head of Technology for Alpari (UK) in 2008.  With over a decade of commercial IT management experience in both the public and private sector, Ray plays a crucial role in the delivery of Alpari (UK) online trading services.
 
Ray started his career at the Medicines Control Agency in 1997 where he led the IT services department before moving into Research & Development as the UNIX Manager. 

In 2000 he joined Moneyextra (part of the Bank of Ireland) where he ran the IT Infrastructure department and built scalable resilient solutions using both proprietary and open source solutions.  AWD Group Plc acquired Moneyextra in 2005 and Ray took on the role of Online Infrastructure Manager during which time he focused on system integration, data centre management and network management.

Since joining Alpari (UK), Ray has designed resilient scalable solutions to support the company’s rapid growth and ensure improved service delivery.  With his diverse technical and managerial skill set Ray is responsible for the entire IT infrastructure spanning Alpari (UK)’s three London data centers and head office.  Ray and his team of talented IT professionals work around the clock supporting the trading platform in order to provide a smooth user experience.

Ray is an advocate of open source software and enjoys programming in his spare time.  He also enjoys studying martial arts and created the Wushu One Family online martial arts community.
